What to do first?
It has been almost one a half day since I arrived at Paris. It did not take long to notice that Paris is a much chiller city. There are less chain stores; many people jogging in the park (Jardin du Luxembourg); quite a few of French people sitting outside of cafes chatting.
Getting myself a French number is on top of my list, yet after I went to three major telecom companies, I realised that having a smart phone is not as common as it is in London or in Taipei. As it turns out, I am going to live the life as the way I lived it 3 years ago- no 3G, for three months. Bien.
The greatest thing about Paris is that there are numerous artistic places to go to. The one I went today is called Musée Bourdelle. Antoine Bourdelle was once an assistant of the sculptor Rodin, and a great sculptor himself. The museum is based around the preserved studios of his days, it has retained all of their original charm within a relatively modern environment. It houses a rich collection- both personal and archive collection. As I was visiting, I could not help but regret that I did not bring my sketch book with me!!! I have this strange thing that if I don't draw the image down physically, the visual pleasure will never truly be part of me. Anyway, now I know that getting a sketch book is on top of my list.
